Every institution needs to ensure it has strong governance and sound financial procedures in place.
The Finance & Governance Department works closely with the Council’s other departments to ensure that the institution is operating effectively across all aspects of its work and that value for money is taken into account.
It also supports the business operations of the Distribution Centre and helps ensure the Council provides a high level of customer service.
The Department is responsible too for procurement procedures, in particular the introduction of a new IT system for the Council’s Distribution Centre between 2020-22.
