Love bookshops
You can enjoy some guilt-free retail therapy by supporting your local bookshop. You’ll receive a warm welcome whether you’re popping in for a browse, looking for the latest releases, or need a gift recommendation. Run by people who are passionate about books, independent bookshops stock a wide range of books from Wales and beyond, and often organise special talks and book signings so that you can meet your favourite authors in person. Can’t call in? Many have websites so you can order online and have your book delivered to your door.
Love libraries
Your local library is a great place to start if you’re looking for something new to read, and membership is free. Librarians can help you track down an old favourite, highlight what’s new and offer reading recommendations based on books you’ve enjoyed. If fiction’s not your thing, you’ll also find a wide range of books to help with a hobby, support your well-being or crack that homework assignment!
