On Wednesday, 19 June 2024, the national round of the BookSlam competition was held in Arad Goch, Aberystwyth.
The winning schools were:
1st – Ysgol Garth Olwg, Pontypridd – received £200 worth of books
2nd – Ysgol Gymraeg y Trallwng, y Trallwng – received £150 worth of books
3rd – Penrhys Primary, Penrhys – received £100 worth of books

On Tuesday, 18 June 2024, the national round of the Gornest Lyfrau (Book Contest) was held at the Arts Centre, Aberystwyth.
