As a national charity, the Books Council has an impact on key areas across public and economic life in Wales. We make an important contribution to the work of the creative industries in general and the publishing industry in particular. By supporting jobs and commercial activity in the books sector, through our distribution centre and support for independent bookshops, we make a contribution the Welsh foundation economy. The statistics below reflect our headline activity during the 2018-2019 financial year.
