Hi! My name is Alexander John, and I am from Llantrisant in south Wales. I am 17 years old and a Year 13 A level student studying Biology, Geography and English Literature. I will be starting my studies in Archaeology and Anthropology at the beginning of the next academic year. I am extremely excited to be part of the Young People’s Panel as I’m an avid reader who is passionate about exposing young people to a wide array of literature. I especially like to read existentialist novels, as well as the Russian classics. I am deeply interested in mythology, especially the various ancient Welsh myths and prophecies. My favourite book is The Sailor that fell from Grace with the Sea by Yukio Mishima. Outside of reading, my hobbies include swimming, playing guitar and bass, participating at archaeological excavations, surfing and playing video games.
