Information for booksellers

The Books Council of Wales offers financial support to booksellers in two ways.

The Outreach Scheme

The Outreach Scheme helps booksellers to attend events throughout Wales. This scheme is administered by the Council’s Sales and Marketing Department. For further information, click here. This scheme is not funded by the Publishing Grant.

The Publishing Grant (Welsh-language)

There is a small fund within the Publishing Grant (Welsh-language) which is used to offer additional discounts to independent booksellers who have an account with the Council’s Distribution Centre, where those accounts reach a certain threshold. Booksellers are not required to apply for these payments. The scheme is administered by the Distribution Centre.
